The Resident Pastor of Calvary Charismatic Center, Reverend Joshua Obeng, has stated that true revival and reform are driven by the work of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of individuals, rather than policies introduced by governments.

Speaking to the media at the church’s headquarters in Ayigya, Kumasi, ahead of a three-day Spirit of Revival conference, he emphasized that lasting transformation begins within individuals through spiritual renewal.

The programme, which will feature Bolgatanga-based preacher Reverend Eastwood Anaba, is expected to focus on spiritual awakening and the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

Rev. Obeng encouraged residents of the Ashanti Region, including politicians, professionals, and the general public, to attend the event and experience spiritual renewal.

He referenced historical revivals in the United States, noting how spiritual transformation helped change societal attitudes, including reducing racial segregation and fostering greater acceptance among people.

According to him, revival has the power to transform hearts, inspire individuals to respond to God’s call, and positively influence their outlook on life and work.

He added that Ghana needs a similar spiritual awakening to help shape attitudes and improve productivity across different sectors.

To ensure broad participation, Rev. Obeng announced that arrangements have been made to transport attendees from various parts of the Ashanti Region to the event.
