The Chief Executive Officer of MobileMoney Fintech Limited, Shaibu Haruna, has called on customers to report mobile money agents who impose charges on deposits into personal wallets.
According to him, depositing money into mobile money accounts is meant to be free of charge. However, the company continues to receive complaints about some agents disregarding this policy, raising concerns about compliance within the system.
Mr. Haruna acknowledged that the issue still exists and emphasized the importance of customer vigilance in addressing it.
“We are aware of this behaviour, but we encourage customers to report such incidents so we can act swiftly. We have dedicated field sales agents responsible for handling these cases,” he said.
He further assured the public that systems are in place to thoroughly investigate complaints and sanction agents who violate the rules. This, he noted, is part of ongoing efforts to maintain trust and discipline within the mobile money ecosystem.
