Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has encouraged candidates writing the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to remain confident, honest, and disciplined as they undertake their national assessments.
In a statement issued by her Press Secretary and Spokesperson, Ama Pratt, the Vice President expressed optimism about the preparedness of students, noting that their participation in the examination reflects years of hard work, dedication, and proper academic preparation.
She urged candidates to approach the exams with self-belief and integrity, stressing that honesty must be upheld throughout the examination period.
Professor Opoku-Agyemang also commended the Ghana Education Service, teachers, parents, and other education stakeholders for their efforts in supporting and preparing students for the BECE.
She further called on supervisors, invigilators, and school authorities to maintain fairness, transparency, and strict professionalism to ensure a credible examination process nationwide.
