Otumfuo Apagyahene Commends SDA Church for Its Unwavering Support for Ghana’s Development

The Apagyahene of the Asante Kingdom, Oheneba Owusu Afriyie IV, has commended the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church for its unwavering contribution to Ghana’s socio-economic development, particularly in the areas of healthcare, education, and humanitarian services.
Oheneba Owusu Afriyie IV made the remarks during the 10th anniversary celebration of Heart Adventist Hospital, held at Ahensan in the Asokwa Municipality of the Ashanti Region on Thursday.
Speaking as the special guest, Otumfuo Apagyahene praised the SDA Church for complementing the government’s efforts through quality healthcare delivery and urged the church to continue investing in the well-being of Ghanaians.
He also called on health professionals across the country to place the welfare of patients at the center of their work, stressing that compassion, professionalism, and dedication are essential to providing quality healthcare services.
According to him, patients deserve to be treated with dignity and respect regardless of their background, adding that healthcare workers should always demonstrate empathy in the discharge of their duties.
The anniversary celebration brought together traditional leaders, church officials, health professionals, and members of the public to commemorate a decade of the hospital’s service to residents of Ahensan and surrounding communities.
