‘It Will Take Years to Forget Me’ – Kuami Eugene Rejects Claims of Career Decline

Highlife star says his legacy of hit songs ensures he’ll remain unforgettable despite exit from Lynx Entertainment.

Ghanaian highlife star Kuami Eugene has firmly denied suggestions that his music career is on the decline, insisting his impact on the industry is far from over.

In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter), the award-winning singer dismissed rumours that he is fading from the spotlight, confidently asserting that his catalogue of hit songs continues to keep him relevant.

“I sang Angela, Confusion, Wish Me Well, Kwani Kwani Remix, Obiaa To, Open Gate, No Dulling, Killing Me Softly, and many more,” he said. “It will take years for people to forget me.”

Kuami Eugene also highlighted the cultural imprint of his music, pointing out how often his songs are featured at weddings and major celebrations across the country.

“During weddings, my love songs are always played for the couple and bridal team. I have so many records with my name on them — how can anyone forget me?” he added.

His comments come amid ongoing debate around his departure from Lynx Entertainment, with some speculating that the move could lead to a downturn in his career. But the “Rockstar” remains confident, brushing off such concerns and standing by the strength of his legacy.
