A domestic dispute that once left a woman and her children displaced has taken a positive turn after the intervention of Lawson Afisem, the popular rights and social intervention programme led by Maame Frimpomaa Korankye, widely known as MFK, on Lawson TV/FM.

The woman, who initially reported her case on the show several weeks ago, has now returned with a breakthrough outcome, revealing that she and her children have been allocated four bedrooms out of a six-room house by her estranged husband, Akwasi Amankwaah.

From water seller to housing dispute

According to the woman, she once supported herself through water vending but had to stop due to circumstances beyond her control. She narrated that tensions in the marriage escalated over time, leading to family intervention attempts involving elders to resolve the matter.

However, she alleged that the situation worsened when her husband asked her to leave the house, leaving her and the children without proper accommodation.

She further accused her husband of falsely branding her a thief, an allegation he strongly denied when he later presented his side of the story on Lawson Afisem, insisting the claims were untrue.

Maame Frimpomaa Korankye (MFK) confirmed on air that the team had secured documentation backing the arrangement, with legal papers showing the agreed allocation of the rooms.

She displayed the documents on television, emphasizing that the resolution was reached through structured mediation and verification.

Appreciation and closure

The woman expressed deep gratitude to MFK and the entire Lawson Afisem and Lawson Media team for their intervention and support throughout the process.
