Kessben Group CEO Stephen Kwabena Boateng Dies at 68 After Illness

Kumasi businessman and media entrepreneur Stephen Kwabena Boateng, popularly known as Kessben, has died at the age of 68 after an illness.

Kumasi-based businessman and Chief Executive Officer of the Kessben Group of Companies, Stephen Kwabena Boateng, popularly known as Kwabena Kesse or Kessben, has died at the age of 68.

According to reports, the businessman passed away after a period of illness.

Born on September 12, 1957, Kessben grew up in North Suntreso, Kumasi, and built a successful business empire spanning more than three decades.

His Kessben Group comprises several companies, including Kessben Travel and Tours, Kessben Driving School, Kessben Computer School, Kessben Shipping and Forwarding Ltd., Fosua Hotel and Conference Centre, Kessben University College, Kessben Consult, Kessben Foundation, and Kessben FM.

He was also the sole shareholder of Kessben FM Limited, which operates Kessben FM, Kessben TV and Aseda TV.

Beyond business, Kessben was known for his philanthropic activities and served on Ghana’s National Peace Council from 2004 to 2010.
