- Remarks trigger wider industry debate
Ghanaian travel blogger Goshers has stirred public debate after making controversial remarks about relationships within the creative industry, particularly in artist management.
He raised concerns about professionalism and emotional boundaries in working relationships within the entertainment sector.
According to Goshers, it is common for individuals in artist management to develop romantic or sexual relationships with the artists they represent. He suggested that the close working environment often leads to blurred professional lines.
“People in artist management mostly end up dating or sleeping with the person they manage,” he said.
He further stressed the importance of emotional independence and detachment in professional settings, adding that individuals should be able to work without forming personal attachments.
“I don’t want anything from Lillian Chipeso. People must understand that you can just do something and leave,” he added.
His comments were made during a broader discussion on maintaining boundaries and managing expectations in both personal and professional relationships.
The interview has since contributed to wider conversations about ethics and professionalism in Ghana’s creative industry, where close collaboration between artists and managers is common.
It also comes at a time of growing cultural exchange between Ghana and Zambia, which has recently been strengthened through increased media visibility and diplomatic engagements.
