During the ongoing 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), two candidates from Big Six International School in Meduma were reportedly prevented from sitting for their first exam, Mathematics.
The students were allegedly locked in a room by their headmaster due to unpaid school fees, causing them to miss the nationwide exam’s opening paper.
The exam was taking place at Simms High School in Fawoade, the designated center for candidates in the Kwabre East Municipality, Ashanti Region.
The headmaster’s actions have sparked concern as the students were denied their chance to participate in this critical academic milestone.
