Bullet Reveals $100,000 Royalty Payment to Ebony Reigns’ Father
RuffTown Records CEO says payment represents 50% of late musician Ebony’s royalties amid ongoing dispute.

- Bullet says he paid $100,000 to Ebony’s father as royalties share.
- He claims the amount represents 50% instead of the original 20% agreement.
- Royalties dispute between Bullet and Ebony’s family continues after her 2018 death.
RuffTown Records CEO, Ricky Nana Agyeman, popularly known as Bullet, has revealed that he has paid $100,000 to the father of late Ghanaian musician Ebony Reigns as part of royalties accrued from her music catalog.
Bullet explained that the payment represents 50% of Ebony’s royalties, although he claimed the original agreement entitled the artiste to only 20%.

According to him, Ebony’s father requested an increase in the royalty share after the singer’s death in 2018.
“I recently gave Ebony’s father $100,000, which is 50% of Ebony’s royalties. Ebony was entitled to 20% shares, but her father made me increase it to 50%,” Bullet said.
He added that following Ebony’s tribute event, her father insisted that all funds due to the late singer be handed over directly to him.
Bullet said he accompanied him to the bank to withdraw the money, adding that the payment was made despite ongoing public disagreements.
The RuffTown Records boss noted that although he has often been criticised by Ebony’s father, he has chosen not to publicly escalate the matter.
Relations between Bullet and the family of the late singer, born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, have remained strained since her passing in a road accident in 2018, with disputes over management and royalties frequently surfacing.
Ebony Reigns rose to fame with hit songs including Sponsor, Kupe, Maame Hwɛ, and Poison, and remains one of Ghana’s most celebrated contemporary female artistes.
