A man has been arrested after allegedly trespassing at the Los Angeles home of American singer Chris Brown and attempting to set part of the property on fire.

According to reports by TMZ, police responded to Brown’s residence in Tarzana, a neighbourhood in California’s San Fernando Valley, shortly before 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday following reports of a disturbance at the property.

Law enforcement sources said the suspect was initially spotted near the front gate attempting to gain access to the residence. The caller reportedly informed police that the man was known to them and had previously caused problems at the property.

The suspect allegedly climbed over the fence and entered the compound, where he is accused of attempting to start a fire.

Reports indicate that someone inside the residence confronted the man before police officers arrived at the scene and took him into custody.

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of trespassing, and authorities have filed a police report as investigations continue.

Chris Brown was reportedly at home during the incident but was not harmed.

The latest development comes weeks after another reported disturbance outside the singer’s residence involving a woman and a security guard during a separate altercation.

Chris Brown has not publicly commented on the incident.
