- She urges NPP delegates to choose selfless leadership.
A social media post by media personality Jennifer Oppong has added fresh momentum to the ongoing conversation around the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ashanti Regional Chairmanship race, as she openly endorsed one of the aspirants.
In the post, she recounted a conversation with her husband in which he mentioned that businessman and politician Kokofu was vying for the position of Ashanti Regional Chairman.

However, she noted that another candidate, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as COKA, was more deserving of the role.
According to her, her husband praised Odeneho Kwaku Appiah for his past support for the Kumasi-based Buffalo Unit, a once-feared group in the city. She alleged that he provided logistical support, including purchasing vehicles, which helped the unit operate effectively at the time.
She added that after hearing these accounts, she independently looked into his background and became more convinced of his suitability for the position. She further stated that others had also shared positive testimonies about his willingness to support people, even those he does not personally know.
“I quickly checked him out and started liking him automatically,” she wrote, adding that such qualities were important for leadership.
The post concluded with a direct appeal to party delegates, urging them to consider what she described as selfless and compassionate leadership in choosing their next regional chairman.
She emphasized that the NPP needs leaders who are “selfless and kind,” stating that Odeneho Kwaku Appiah fits that description and should be trusted to lead the Ashanti Region.
Her message ended with a strong show of support, as she declared her backing for COKA in the ongoing internal party contest.
