“On behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, I extend warm congratulations to Pastor Ransford Obeng for achieving this remarkable milestone of 70 fruitful years filled with service to God, humanity, and the nation, and still growing strong,” he stated.

According to him, Pastor Obeng’s life is a testimony of divine grace and purposeful leadership.

“Seventy years is not merely a measure of age; it is a testimony of grace, sacrifice, discipline, endurance, and divine favour. More importantly, in the life of Pastor Ransford Obeng, it represents decades of impactful ministry and transformational leadership that has touched countless lives in Ghana and beyond.”

Mr. Afriyie Ankrah praised the revered minister for his immense contribution to the Christian faith in Ghana, noting that his influence extends beyond the pulpit.

“Over the years, Pastor Ransford Obeng has distinguished himself not only as a preacher of the Gospel but also as a builder of people, families, leaders, and communities. He has consistently used his platform to advocate peace, righteousness, national unity, and responsible citizenship,” he said.

He urged Ghanaians to draw inspiration from Pastor Obeng’s life of humility, consistency, vision, perseverance, and unwavering faith in God.

One of the most memorable moments of the celebration was the cutting of a specially designed birthday cake shaped like the Holy Bible. Holding back tears, he described his late spouse as a pillar of support throughout his life’s journey.

“My wife was very good to me. When we met, I was raw and had virtually nothing. Yet she chose to stay with me and support me. That is where I truly recognized the depth of her love,” he recounted.

He disclosed that in honour of her memory and the sacrifices she made for him and his ministry, he has decided not to remarry.

“As a sign of respect and honour to my late wife, I will not marry again,” he declared, drawing emotional reactions from many in attendance.

Speaking to journalists after the celebration, Pastor Obeng reflected on his life’s journey and attributed his success entirely to God’s grace.

“God has been so good to me. I was just a villager with little education, but when I availed myself to God, He used me mightily. If God wants to use you, you must humble yourself before Him,” he said.
