Six Arrested for Allegedly Impersonating Security Officers at Agona Akwakwa

The Ghana Police Service has arrested six men for allegedly impersonating security operatives during a raid on a company at Agona Akwakwa.
The suspects were arrested on May 6, 2026, by the Agona Swedru District Police Command following a distress call received around midday.
According to police reports, the group arrived at the premises of S.I Jun Manufacturing Company Limited in a Toyota Land Cruiser with registration number GW 8887-V. Three of the suspects were allegedly dressed in Ghana Immigration Service camouflage uniforms, one in a military-style outfit, while the remaining two were in civilian clothing.
The group reportedly claimed to be operatives of National Security and is alleged to have assaulted and harassed three Chinese nationals at the facility, identified as Man Guan, Chin Min, and Ma Kaixiang.
Police officers who responded to the scene found the vehicle parked at the company premises and discovered the three victims handcuffed.
The suspects were identified as Agyemang Benjamin, Mahama Iddrisu Dawuda Seidu, Ofori Isaac, Adom Bills, Hayford Boafo, and Ato Mchenry. They are currently in custody at the Agona Swedru District Police Headquarters assisting with investigations.
Authorities have engaged the Military Police, Ghana Immigration Service, and National Security to verify whether the suspects have any legitimate links to security agencies.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
