The Recording Academy has announced key dates for the 2027 Grammy Awards 2027, confirming that the ceremony will take place live on Sunday, February 7, 2027, at the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles.

The announcement was made during the Disney Upfront presentation in New York City on Tuesday, May 12. The event will be broadcast on ABC and streamed on Disney+ and Hulu, marking the first time the Grammys will air on ABC since 1972.

The move to ABC and Disney-owned platforms was first announced in October 2024, signalling a new broadcasting era for the prestigious music awards show.

Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy, described the transition as a “new home and a bold new chapter” for the Grammys, adding that the organisation is entering an exciting phase of growth.

Historically, the Grammys aired on ABC in 1971 and 1972 before moving to CBS in 1973, where it remained until the 2026 ceremony. The most recent shows also included streaming on Paramount+.

The awards have mostly been held at Crypto.com Arena since 2000, with a few exceptions in New York and Las Vegas, and temporary relocations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Recording Academy has not yet announced a host for the 2027 ceremony.

Below are key dates for the 2027 Grammy Awards season: eligibility runs from August 31, 2025, to August 28, 2026, with nominations announced in November 2026 and final voting concluding in January 2027 before the February ceremony.
