Ghana international Antoine Semenyo has once again been targeted with racial abuse online, just months after experiencing a similar incident earlier in the 2025/26 English Premier League season.

The latest incident occurred following Manchester City’s 3-0 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Semenyo, who played the full 90 minutes, later shared a celebratory post on Instagram after the win but was met with a racially offensive comment from an online user.

Reacting to the abuse, he posted: “It’s started again…”, referencing a similar episode in December 2025 when he was subjected to racist messages during his time at AFC Bournemouth after a defeat to Liverpool.

The recurrence of such incidents has once again raised serious concerns about the ongoing issue of racism in football, despite continuous anti-discrimination campaigns across the sport.

The 26-year-old, who joined Manchester City in January 2026, has enjoyed an impressive debut season at the Etihad, scoring 15 league goals and playing a key role in the club’s Carabao Cup triumph.
