Ashanti Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman hopeful, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as Asanteman COKA, has expressed strong confidence in his chances of winning the party’s upcoming regional chairmanship election, predicting a landslide victory.
According to him, nothing will prevent him from becoming the next Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, as he believes the support base he has built across the region gives him a clear advantage.
Speaking in an interview with Kwame Tanko on the Ghana Se Sen Morning Show on Monday, July 13, 2026, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah stated that his decision to contest remains firm and he is fully prepared for the election.
“I am contesting and I will contest. Nothing stops me from becoming the next NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman,” he said.
The former NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman contender explained that his confidence is based on the outcome of the party’s constituency-level elections across the region, which he believes reflects strong support for his candidature.
He boldly predicted that he would secure not less than 90 per cent of the total votes in the regional chairmanship election.
“I am telling you, I am not going to win anything less than 90% of the total votes,” he told Kwame Tanko.

Odeneho Kwaku Appiah acknowledged that his previous contest against incumbent Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, provided him with valuable lessons.
He noted that the experience, including the challenges and differences that emerged during the previous election, has helped him prepare better for the upcoming contest.
“There have been so many differences in the previous election, but I have learnt a lot. This time, I know what to do,” he stated.
The NPP stalwart added that he has put in place strategic measures aimed at strengthening his campaign and improving his chances of securing victory.
“I have learnt a lot from the previous election and have put frantic measures in place,” he added.
