The Ministry of Education has postponed the release of the 2026/2027 Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results from Monday, August 31 to Friday, September 4, 2026.

The Ministry said the decision follows requests from parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools for additional time to complete the submission and uploading of students’ data onto the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and CSSPS platforms.

The extension is intended to give all qualified students the opportunity to complete the necessary processes and ensure their details are captured for placement into Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.

According to the Ministry, about 20,000 qualified students had yet to have their school choices uploaded onto the CSSPS platform by their Heads of Schools, parents or guardians.

The Ministry explained that extending the deadline would help prevent students whose data submissions are still pending from being excluded from the placement process.

It has therefore urged parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools to take advantage of the extension and submit all outstanding information before the new deadline.

The Ministry reiterated its commitment to ensuring a fair, transparent, efficient and orderly placement process, giving every qualified student an opportunity to secure placement in an SHS or TVET institution.
