O.A Legacy International emerged as the winner of the semi-final contest held on Thursday, 26th March 2026, maintaining their status as defending champions of the northern sector.

The top three schools from this northern sector will later face the top three from the southern sector in the highly anticipated national contest.

The winner of the northern sector is set to receive GHC 6,000, along with awards, while other schools will also be recognized for their performance.

Speaking on the upcoming finals, Pastor Philip Sarpong, CEO of Perfect Series Publications, expressed surprise at the students’ improved performance compared to the semi-finals.

“The dynamics have changed. Based on their performance, these students have a brighter future, not just for themselves, but for Ghana,” he said.
“The finals on Wednesday will be keenly contested because all the schools are taking the competition very seriously.”
Mr. Jones Yeboah, Headmaster of O.A Legacy International, said his school’s journey has been remarkable.

“We placed 6th in the quarter-finals, but we set our minds on winning the semi-finals and advancing to the finals. It is the dedication of our students and teachers that helped us achieve that,” he explained.
“We know the finals will be tougher, but we are ready to defend our title on 1st April. Our secret has been the Perfect Series textbooks, which have guided our preparation all this way.”
Mr Kofi Gyasi, Assistant Head Academic of Anglican Senior High School, praised Pastor Philip Sarpong for introducing the contest.

“This is a great initiative. The schools contesting have done remarkably well to reach the semi-finals,” he said.
“I urge the government to support this contest so that more schools across the country can benefit from it.”
The northern sector finals promise to be an exciting showdown, showcasing the talent, dedication, and potential of Ghana’s young learners as they compete for national recognition.
