he declared, underscoring his commitment to accountability and tangible academic results.
The initiative received a significant boost with a GHC 50,000 donation from DVLA boss Mr. Julius Neequaye Kotey, aimed at supporting brilliant but needy students in the constituency. Agbana also funds 50% of the scholarship from his own salary, with additional support from family and friends.

The event was attended by dignitaries, including Ghanaian political activist and entertainer Hon. Kwame Asare Obeng, also known as Kwame A Plus, who praised Eʋe women for their respect, diligence, and supportive nature. Other notable attendees included representatives from the Ghana Education Service, the National Commission for Civic Education, and traditional leaders from Ketu North.

The Ketu North Scholar initiative has benefited hundreds of students over the years, with 400 students receiving scholarships this year alone. It is widely regarded as a movement of empowerment, showcasing transformational leadership through personal commitment and responsibility.

According to Agbana, the project is not funded by the government but is sustained through his 50% salary contribution and support from family and friends. Additionally, he provides 35 young women in STEM fields with full scholarships totaling GH¢123,000 through The Ketu North Scholar programme.
Agbana’s dedication to accountability and academic excellence has earned widespread praise, with calls for other leaders to emulate his example. Last year, 421 students benefited from the initiative, while this second cohort awards over GH¢10 billion cedis to 400 successful students.

The initiative aligns with national efforts to promote education and youth empowerment and is expected to contribute significantly to the socio-economic development of the Ketu North Constituency.
