Four Arrested Over Murder of Security Guard at Gomoa Akotsi 1D1F Factory
Police arrest four suspects in the brutal killing of a 65-year-old security guard during a cable theft operation at the Gomoa Akotsi 1D1F factory, with four more suspects still on the run.

Four individuals have been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of a 65-year-old security guard, Kwabena Boateng, at the De-Bridge 1D1F factory in Gomoa Akotsi, Central Region.
The Gomoa Ojobi District Police Command confirmed the arrests, noting that four additional suspects are still on the run. Among those apprehended are businessman Samuel Larbie, 28, and motor mechanic Wisdom Sosu, 32, believed to be key actors in the crime.
Two others, Nabil Mohammed and Mahmoud Kardi, were arrested for allegedly buying stolen copper wires, transformer coils, and the victim’s Infinix Smart 8 phone.
Police say the stolen electrical components are valued at over GH₵250,000, while the mobile phone is worth GH₵1,800.
Kwabena Boateng was murdered on July 2, 2025, after confronting the thieves during an attempted robbery. It was reportedly the second time he had been targeted.
The suspects tied his hands and legs and suffocated him with a polythene bag after he tried to stop them from stealing high-value transformer parts.
