Former Ashanti Regional Minister Simon Osei Mensah has taken a swipe at those lauding President John Dramani Mahama’s first 120 days in office.

He argued that the mere formation of committees and commissions is not enough to warrant applause.

Speaking to Oheneyere Adwoa Aprebi at the Manhyia Palace during a visit to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Mr. Osei Mensah stated that President Mahama’s early days have been marked more by bureaucracy than tangible action.

“All we’ve seen so far are committees and commissions,” he said. “That alone is not an achievement worthy of praise.”

He also cautioned members of the ruling NDC administration against being consumed by power, urging them instead to remain grounded and focused on real development.

“Our politicians must serve with integrity and work diligently for the good of the people, not just for political accolades,” he added.

Mr. Osei Mensah emphasized that true leadership is measured by results that impact generations, not just announcements and setups.
