Bernard Antwi Boasiako, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, has unveiled an official campaign song as part of his bid to become the party’s next National Chairman.

The song, titled “Wontumi Bɛyɛ, Obiaa Nsa Wɔ Mu,” is already generating attention among party supporters and campaign followers.

Blending Afro-pop, Afro-dancehall and Northern Ghanaian musical influences, the campaign track carries energetic rhythms and strong lyrical themes centred on leadership, grassroots mobilisation and political victory.

The song portrays Chairman Wontumi as a courageous and determined political figure with deep grassroots connections and a strong understanding of Ghana’s political landscape.

Its lyrics also reference his Ashanti heritage, describing him as a fearless leader symbolically linked to the strength and bravery associated with Asante identity.

The release of the campaign anthem comes shortly after Chairman Wontumi officially launched his national chairmanship campaign and introduced his campaign team.

He has consistently stated that his ambition is focused on rebuilding the NPP’s grassroots structures and positioning the party strongly ahead of future elections.

Chairman Wontumi is contesting the NPP National Chairmanship race alongside notable party figures including Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko and John Boadu.

Political observers believe the release of the campaign song could further energise his supporters and strengthen visibility for his campaign nationwide.
