Injured Tottenham Winger Kudus Sidelined Until April
Quad tendon injury sidelines Ghana forward as Spurs’ attacking woes deepen

Tottenham Hotspur winger Mohammed Kudus is set to miss action until April after suffering a significant thigh injury.
The 25-year-old Ghana international was forced off just 19 minutes into Spurs’ 1-1 draw with Sunderland on Sunday after picking up the injury. Medical assessments have since confirmed damage to the tendon in his quadriceps, ruling him out until after the March international break.
“Unfortunately, Mohammed Kudus has a more serious injury to the tendon in the quad,” Tottenham manager Thomas Frank confirmed. “We expect him to be back after the March international break.”
Kudus, who joined Tottenham from West Ham in a £55 million move last summer, has scored two Premier League goals for the north London side this season. His absence adds to the club’s growing injury concerns in attacking areas.
Spurs’ struggles going forward were again evident in Wednesday night’s 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth, a result that left the club 14th in the Premier League with just seven wins from 21 matches. The loss came against a Bournemouth side that had been on a club-record run of 11 top-flight games without a victory.
Tottenham’s attacking output has been a major source of frustration for supporters. Despite the continued absence of key players such as James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke, statistics suggest deeper issues. Spurs have played fewer through balls than any other Premier League team this season and rank in the bottom five for shots, expected goals, and touches in the opposition box.
While the club could strengthen during the January transfer window, just one win in their last six matches in all competitions underlines a difficult winter period for Thomas Frank and his squad.
