Burma Camp Soldier Granted GH₵70,000 Bail After Viral Pharmacy Assault

Warrant Officer Class One (WO1) Mensah Williams, the soldier caught on camera assaulting a pharmacy attendant and a female customer at Burma Camp, has been granted GH₵70,000 bail with two sureties by an Accra Circuit Court.
The incident took place on October 29, 2025, at e-Pride Pharmacy, where WO1 Williams reportedly became enraged after being told that purchased medications were non-refundable.
He had requested a GH₵65 refund for medicine bought for his son. CCTV footage that went viral showed him physically attacking the male attendant and striking a female customer who tried to record the altercation.
Following the incident, the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) arrested WO1 Williams on October 30, 2025, and handed him over to the Cantonments Police Station for further investigation and prosecution.
