The Ghana Police Service has arrested three additional suspects in connection with the killing of Indian national Sain Devendra Kumar, whose body was discovered in the boot of his abandoned vehicle near Sabin Akrofuom in the Ashanti Region on April 26, 2026.

Police said the victim had suffered multiple stab wounds. The latest arrests bring the total number of suspects in custody to four.

The suspects have been identified as Osman Moro, also known as Thiago, Akum Kojo Junior, Moro Sule alias Moro Aboboyaa, and John Adoko alias Carter.

According to investigators, Akum Kojo Junior admitted involvement in the crime and told police that he visited the victim’s workplace on April 24, where he allegedly disconnected and replaced the CCTV server with the help of Moro Sule.

He later led officers to Daban New Site in Kumasi, where the CCTV server was recovered from a hiding place.

Police said the suspect also confessed to taking the deceased’s iPhone 17 Pro Max and Tecno mobile phone after the murder. Investigators traced the iPhone to Osman Moro in Kaase, Kumasi.

Osman Moro reportedly guided police to a nearby bush, where the phone was found buried in a hole and hidden beneath fresh leaves inside a brown envelope.

Further investigations led to the arrest of Moro Sule near Dompoase in Kumasi, where police recovered the deceased’s Tecno phone.

Meanwhile, John Adoko allegedly admitted to driving the victim’s vehicle to the location where it was later abandoned.

Police say all suspects remain in custody while investigations continue. The recovered items, including the CCTV server and mobile phones, have been retained as evidence.

Authorities are also pursuing two additional suspects identified as Zuzu Adrama and Vipul Jetpur Vijay, also known as Taruu, who are believed to be connected to the case.

The murder has sparked concern within the foreign business community in the Ashanti Region, although police say significant progress has been made in the investigation.
