The chiefs and residents of Kwahu Obomeng have officially kicked off the 2026 Kwahu Easter festivities, unveiling a program designed to ensure the celebrations are vibrant, safe, and well-coordinated.
The colorful launch at Obomeng brought together traditional leaders, stakeholders, and community members ahead of one of Ghana’s most anticipated annual events.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nana Owusu Nyame outlined planned activities, including musical concerts, street jams, cultural performances, and community engagement initiatives, all expected to draw thousands of visitors. He called on both residents and visitors to promote unity, discipline, and cooperation to guarantee a peaceful and successful Easter.
The Queen Mother of Obomeng, Nana Yaa Kwei II, also addressed appropriate social conduct, particularly urging women to dress modestly during the festivities. She noted that women found inappropriately dressed would be provided with suitable attire to uphold cultural values and maintain community dignity.
The 2026 Kwahu Easter celebrations are set to combine entertainment, cultural pride, and community participation, with local leaders emphasizing the importance of respecting tradition while enjoying the festivities.
