A three-year-old child was rescued after falling into a latrine in Asuogya, a suburb of Nkawkaw.

The Ghana National Fire Service responded promptly following a distress call received at 3:03 p.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026.

Upon arrival, the rescue team quickly assessed the situation and launched an operation to save the child, who was at risk of drowning. Despite challenging conditions, the firefighters successfully pulled the child to safety.

The young victim was immediately taken to Holy Family Hospital for medical evaluation and treatment.

Eyewitnesses commended the firefighters for their swift action and professionalism, describing the rescue as timely and life-saving.
