Police Arrest Three Suspects for Stealing iPhone 17, Gold Necklace in Kwabenya
Ghana Police nab three suspects following an armed robbery in Kwabenya that saw iPhone 17 Pro Max phones, a gold necklace, cash, and other valuables stolen.
- Ghana Police have taken into custody Francis Amo (alias Agogo), Anthony Boateng (alias Aisha Kojo), and Musah Ibrahim (alias Coded) in connection with the Kwabenya robbery
- Police recovered one iPhone 17 Pro Max, an Apple Watch, a Samsung Fold phone, and weapons
- The suspects have admitted involvement
The Ghana Police Service has arrested three suspects in connection with a daring robbery that took place in Kwabenya, Greater Accra Region, on January 18, 2026.
According to a Facebook post by the police on Thursday, February 5, two armed men raided a residence, making off with two iPhone 17 Pro Max phones, a gold necklace, an Apple Watch, GH¢14,000 in cash, a car key, and US$300.
The assailants also forced the victim to log out of iCloud on one of the stolen phones before fleeing.
After weeks of intelligence-led operations, the Surveillance Unit of the National Operations Directorate (NOD) apprehended three suspects: Francis Amo, alias Agogo; Anthony Boateng, alias Aisha Kojo; and Musah Ibrahim, alias Coded, who reportedly acted as a receiver of the stolen items. The suspects have admitted their involvement in the robbery.
A search of Anthony Boateng’s residence yielded one iPhone 17 Pro Max, an Apple Watch, a Samsung Fold phone, and offensive weapons including a truncheon, short machete, knives, scissors, lighters, and a face shield.
The suspects remain in police custody assisting with investigations as authorities work to recover the remaining stolen items and apprehend anyone else involved in the crime.
