Nana Agradaa’s Jail Term Cut from 15 Years to 12 Months
Amasaman High Court rules original 15-year sentence excessive, reduces Nana Agradaa’s prison term to 12 months.

- Nana Agradaa’s prison term cut from 15 years of hard labor to 12 months
- The Amasaman High Court affirmed her guilt while moderating the punishment
- The 12-month sentence is counted from her conviction date, July 3, 2025
The prison sentence of controversial evangelist Nana Agradaa has been reduced to 12 months, following a ruling by the Amasaman High Court.
The court acknowledged that the original 15-year hard labor sentence handed down by the trial court was excessively harsh. While affirming her conviction, the appellate court exercised its discretion to moderate the punishment.
The revised sentence is retroactive to her conviction date on July 3, 2025, meaning Nana Agradaa will serve a total of one year in prison.
The court noted that although her offence warranted punishment, the severity of the original sentence was disproportionate under the circumstances, justifying a downward adjustment.
Nana Agradaa, a former fetish priestess who became an evangelist, was convicted earlier this year.
Her initial 15-year sentence sparked public debate and legal scrutiny. The appellate court’s ruling keeps her conviction intact while significantly reducing the custodial term.
