Ghana’s Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Kojo Choi, says the relationship between Ghana and Korea is entering a transformative phase as both countries approach the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties.

In a Facebook post on Friday, December 12, 2025, Ambassador Choi emphasized that the next chapter of Ghana–Korea relations will be defined by deeper cooperation, mutual growth, and strengthened global partnerships.

According to him, his appointment carries symbolic weight, marking a moment of reflection and renewed commitment just as the two nations celebrate half a century of diplomatic engagement.

“As we approach 50 years of Ghana–Korea relations, we step into a new era of genuine partnership and shared destiny. Ghana’s story has always been one of resilience, brilliance, and divine purpose,” he wrote.

Ambassador Choi, who earlier presented his Letter of Credence to the President of Korea, said he was beginning his mission with a strong sense of responsibility and national pride.

“With deep honor, I begin this mission in full authority, dedicated to lifting Ghana’s light even higher on the world stage. God bless our homeland, Ghana, and make our nation Great and Strong,” he added.

He described the occasion as both historic and personal, noting that he was born the same year Ghana and Korea officially began diplomatic relations—an alignment he says further strengthens his sense of purpose as he leads Ghana’s mission in Seoul.
