Ghanaians will pay a reduced passport fee of GHC350 starting Thursday, November 13, 2025, down from the previous GHC500, Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has announced.

The fee cut is part of the government’s effort to make essential public services more affordable and to ease the financial burden on citizens. It also fulfills a commitment to review passport processing costs and improve access to official travel documents.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, November 9, Ablakwa explained that the adjustment aims to encourage more Ghanaians to obtain passports through official channels while discouraging the use of unauthorized agents or middlemen.

The new fee will apply across all Passport Application Centres (PACs) nationwide and covers standard passport services.
