The grieving family of 38-year-old Ghana Immigration Officer, Stephen King Amoah, is calling on the Ghana Police Service to expedite investigations and ensure justice is served following his untimely and brutal death.

On July 3, Amoah left home for Ashongman Estate to meet a friend who had contacted him to repay a debt—but he never returned. After five days of frantic searching, his charred body was found near Abuom Junction, close to Kwabenya in the Greater Accra Region.

According to the family, a suspect named Bright Aweh—believed to be the last person in contact with Amoah—has been arrested. Investigators suspect Aweh lured him to the meeting where the crime occurred.

Amoah, described by loved ones as friendly and full of life, leaves behind a wife and a four-year-old son.

In an interview with Citi News on July 10, Amoah’s nephew, Osei Mensah Lucky-Dan, revealed that the case has been adjourned to July 23, 2025, at the Kwabenya Circuit Court. He expressed the family’s determination to seek justice:

“We’ll be at the court on July 23 to appeal for justice. My uncle had no conflicts with anyone. He was cheerful and easy to love the moment you met him.”

The family is urging the authorities to act swiftly and decisively to bring closure to their painful loss.
