Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, Founder and General Overseer of Action Chapel International, has issued a heartfelt call to President John Dramani Mahama to lead Ghana with a bold vision that strengthens the economy and fosters national unity.
Addressing the congregation at the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving held on July 1 at the State House in Accra, the revered clergyman urged President Mahama to seize his second term to create meaningful and lasting change for the nation.
“Mr. President, within three years, make a difference. Impact this world and change the narrative of Ghana. Let the Cedi flourish under your leadership, and let things get better and better like never before,” Archbishop Duncan-Williams declared to enthusiastic applause.
Beyond economic revival, the Archbishop emphasized the need for a values-driven national identity grounded in faith and patriotism. “We must cultivate a strong love for God and a deep love for our country, Ghana,” he said, warning that political divisions undermine national progress.
Duncan-Williams further called for the development of a comprehensive, long-term national agenda, modeled on the 100-year development plans of countries such as China, India, and Dubai. Such a plan, he explained, would transcend political changes and unite all stakeholders behind a shared vision for Ghana’s future.
“Our motherland, Ghana, is where our vision and agenda lie. Under President Mahama’s leadership, we can establish a national agenda that compels all to follow one path forward,” he affirmed.
The National Day of Prayer brought together political leaders, clergy, and civil society groups to intercede for peace, unity, and purposeful direction for the country, all under the theme of thanksgiving and hope.
