President Mahama to Embark on Three-Day State Visit to Zambia
Ghanaian leader set for high-level talks with Zambian officials to boost trade, investment, and regional cooperation.

- Mahama to discuss trade, investment, and agriculture with Zambia.
- Ghana-Zambia business forum to explore key economic opportunities.
- Visit aims to boost regional cooperation under SADC and AfCFTA.
President John Dramani Mahama is expected to travel to Zambia later this week for a three-day state visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Ghana and Zambia.
The visit, which will include high-level engagements with Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema and senior government officials, is expected to focus on deepening cooperation in trade, investment, energy, agriculture and regional integration.
During the trip, President Mahama is scheduled to hold bilateral talks, participate in a joint press briefing, and attend a business forum bringing together Ghanaian and Zambian private sector players. The forum is expected to explore opportunities in mining, agribusiness, infrastructure development and value-added manufacturing.
The state visit will also provide an opportunity for both leaders to exchange views on regional peace and security, as well as ongoing efforts to strengthen economic collaboration within the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Officials say the visit underscores Ghana’s commitment to reinforcing diplomatic and economic ties with key African partners and advancing South-South cooperation on the continent.
Ghana’s High Commissioner to Zambia, Elizabeth Nyantakyi spoke about the engagement saying it will strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
President Mahama is expected to return to Accra at the conclusion of the visit.
