The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has congratulated the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on the successful election of its new national executives.
In a statement signed by NDC General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the party expressed hope that the new NPP leadership will prioritise Ghana’s national interest and contribute to strengthening the country’s democratic gains.
The NDC reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful political engagement, democratic values and the collective responsibility of political actors to protect and deepen Ghana’s democracy.
The party also called for mutual efforts by both the NDC and NPP to ensure that Ghana’s interests remain above partisan considerations.
According to the NDC, prioritising the national interest over the narrow interests of the two major political parties will help advance the shared goal of building a stronger and more prosperous Ghana.
