The directive, issued on the advice of the National Security Council through an Executive Instrument, takes effect on Friday, 19 June 2026. Under the curfew, movement will be restricted daily between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

Communities affected by the measure include Keri, Abrewanko, Abrewanko Junction, Nyambo, Nyambo Junction, Shari, Kromase, Power, Nyakoma, Odomi, Bonakye, and Nkwanta.
Government has called on chiefs, elders, opinion leaders, youth groups, and residents to remain calm and cooperate with efforts aimed at restoring peace and maintaining security in the municipality.
Authorities also urged all stakeholders to address grievances through peaceful and lawful means to promote lasting stability in the affected communities.
