Vera Oye Bram-Larbi, a seasoned member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has declared her readiness to contest for the position of National Youth Organizer, asserting that she is fully equipped to handle the responsibilities of the role.
Speaking in an interview with Kwame Tanko on the Ghana Se Sen Morning Show on Lawson TV/Radio Vera Oye acknowledged the challenges ahead, noting that the 2028 NPP race “is not child’s play.”
She emphasized her long-standing commitment to the party, saying, “I have been in the NPP for so many years. I will be a female, but when the men are doing, we women can equally do it.”
She further reflected on the nature of the position, stressing that gender should not define capability.
“Women are not the same as men because creation made you men and us women, but the job is not a battlefield; rather, it is a game of strategy and planning,” she explained.
Vera Oye outlined her vision for the youth wing, saying the position requires the drive to mobilize and organize effectively.
“The youth organizer position is about having the drive to mobilize and organize. All those saying I am a woman should take it back and bring a different topic for debate,” she asserted.
On her qualifications, she was confident, adding, “Academically, I think I stand better than most of the people contesting. As for charisma, I respect them, but they know that I can do the work better than them. I know how to do gumbe better than all the men contesting.”
