The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched a job placement initiative to assist Ghanaians being evacuated from South Africa, securing 120 employment opportunities and calling on more businesses to support the reintegration effort.

In a statement, the Ministry appealed to Ghanaian chief executives, entrepreneurs, and business owners to partner with the government by offering employment opportunities to citizens returning from South Africa following recent developments in the country.

The Ministry encouraged interested employers to contact its Delivery Unit, led by Ambassador Alexander Grant Ntrakwa, through 056 1108 000 to contribute to the initiative.

According to the statement, 120 job placements have already been secured through the commitment and patriotism of Ghanaian business owners who have stepped forward to support the cause.

The Ministry expressed confidence that additional employers would join the effort to help returning citizens successfully reintegrate into society, regain economic stability, and rebuild their lives.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to its citizens, the Ministry emphasized that the welfare of all Ghanaians remains a priority and assured returnees of continued support to ensure a smooth transition back into the workforce and community.
