Former West Ham Goalkeeper Ludek Miklosko Dies at 64
The former West Ham goalkeeper, who made almost 400 appearances for the club, has died after a battle with cancer.

Former West Ham United, Queens Park Rangers and Czech Republic goalkeeper Ludek Miklosko has died at the age of 64.
Miklosko spent eight years with West Ham between 1990 and 1998, making almost 400 appearances for the club. He became a hugely popular figure among supporters, who continued to sing his name long after his playing career at the club ended.
He later returned to West Ham as a goalkeeping coach, maintaining his strong connection with the club.
Miklosko was diagnosed with cancer in 2021 and withdrew from treatment in December 2024.
Shortly afterwards, he made an emotional return to West Ham’s London Stadium for a Premier League match against Liverpool, where he received a hero’s welcome from supporters.
West Ham confirmed his death in a statement expressing its “deep and profound sadness” at the passing of the club legend.
Miklosko’s legacy at West Ham extends beyond his appearances, with his popularity among supporters making him one of the most fondly remembered goalkeepers in the club’s history.
