- Land secured at Kronom Abuohia for a proposed Nursing Training School
- MCE pledges to complete all ongoing and abandoned NPP projects in Suame
- Vows to make Suame one of the cleanest and most developed municipalities in Ghana
Suame, one of the bustling industrial hubs in the Ashanti Region, could soon become home to a Nursing Training School—a move expected to transform the municipality’s educational and healthcare landscape.
The exciting news was revealed by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Suame, Hon. Frank Owusu Ansah, during an exclusive interview on the Ghana Se Sen show on Lawson TV/Radio.
Hon. Owusu Ansah disclosed that he is working closely with the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Frank Amoakohene, to attract investors to support the establishment of the school.
He said parcel of land has already been secured at Kronom-Abuohia, an area rich in historical significance, setting the stage for what he described as a “game changer” for the Suame municipality.
“We’ve secured land for the project. What is left now is funding. Once we get that, we’re ready to move,” the MCE said, hinting at ongoing talks with stakeholders and potential development partners.
The proposed Nursing Training School is expected to not only provide vital skills training for the youth but also create jobs and enhance access to healthcare services in the area.
The MCE emphasized the importance of the community’s support, asking residents to back him with prayers as he works to leave a meaningful legacy during his tenure.
“If after four years I am still at post, I want to be remembered for something great. I want to leave a legacy that will benefit Suame and the generations after,” he said passionately.
Hon. Owusu Ansah also addressed political rumors, making it clear that there are no tensions between him and the former MCE or the current MP for the area.
“There is no issue between us. My focus is purely on development,” he clarified.
On sanitation and urban development, the MCE reaffirmed his commitment to making Suame one of the cleanest and most progressive municipalities in the country.
“Whatever I’m doing, I’m doing it to ensure Suame becomes one of the best and cleanest cities in Ghana,” he noted.
He further assured residents that all projects initiated by the previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration in Suame will not be abandoned.
“I will continue and complete all projects left behind. The development of Suame comes first,” he pledged.
