Baah Acheamfuor, the Deputy Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region, has called on supporters of failed New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential aspirants, Ken Agyapong and Bryan Acheampong to join the NDC.
Speaking with Kwame Tanko on the Ghana Se Sen Morning Show on Lawson TV on Monday, February 9, 2026, Mr. Acheamfuor emphasized that the NDC is open to all who want to participate in shaping the country’s future.
“Failed Ken Agyapong and Bryan Acheampong supporters should join the NDC now,” he said. “Things will not work for their party, so they should come with their huge numbers and understand that Bawumia cannot govern the nation.”
Mr. Acheamfuor explained that NDC membership is officially recorded in the party’s books, not through membership cards, and each member is assigned a unique identification number. He further outlined that anyone wishing to join the NDC must register through their local branch.
“The registration period is from now until March 30, 2026, across all 16 regions,” he said.
“If you are a sympathizer, you must register to become an official member. This is part of the NDC’s plan to retain power in 2028.”
The deputy regional secretary expressed optimism that the membership drive would bring in “reasonable numbers” to strengthen the party nationwide ahead of the next elections.
