A leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region, Solomon Reuben Jabari, has strongly denied allegations linking him to illegal mining, popularly known as galamsey.
Mr. Jabari, a well-known road contractor recognized for his contributions to infrastructure development, dismissed the accusations as a calculated attempt to damage his reputation.
He described the claims as smear tactics orchestrated to undermine his political ambitions.

According to him, the allegations are being pushed by opponents seeking to derail his bid for the Atwima Kwanwoma NDC Chairmanship. He believes his growing support within the constituency has unsettled some rivals, prompting what he calls “dubious tactics” to discredit him.
Currently serving as the Island City Branch Chairman of the NDC, Mr. Jabari is widely considered a strong contender for the chairmanship position in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency.
He has urged the public to disregard the allegations, insisting that he remains committed to the values of the NDC and dedicated to advancing development in his community.
