New security technology at Kotoka International Airport to speed up screening and improve passenger experience.

- Travellers will no longer remove shoes and belts during screening.
- New security equipment is being installed at the airport.
- Changes take effect from August.
John Dramani Mahama has announced that passengers travelling through Kotoka International Airport will no longer be required to remove their shoes and belts during security screening starting in August this year.
