The Ghana women’s national under-20 football team have arrived in Kampala ahead of the second leg of their final-round qualifier against Uganda women’s national under-20 football team in the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

Coach Charles Sampson and his squad departed Ghana on Wednesday in preparation for the crucial encounter scheduled for Saturday, May 9.

A total of 23 players travelled with the technical team for the decisive fixture, which will determine Ghana’s chances of securing another appearance at the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.

The Black Princesses head into the return leg with a slim advantage after fighting back from a goal down to beat Uganda 2-1 in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday.

The second leg will kick off at 13:00 GMT on Saturday in Kampala.

Ghana is aiming to secure an eighth consecutive appearance at the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, with this year’s tournament set to take place in Poland in September.
