Nana Pim-Wusu Ansah is advancing youth empowerment in Wiamoase through a skills training initiative led by the Nana Pim-Wusu Ansah Foundation.

The foundation recently graduated ten beneficiaries after a two-year fully funded vocational programme during the Easter period. The trainees were equipped with practical skills in hairdressing, makeup, pedicure, and manicure, aimed at helping them build sustainable livelihoods.

By covering all training costs, the foundation removed financial barriers, allowing participants to focus entirely on skill acquisition. The graduation ceremony also recognised outstanding trainees for their performance and commitment.

Speaking at the event, Nana Pim-Wusu Ansah urged the graduates to remain disciplined and entrepreneurial, encouraging them to use their skills to create opportunities for themselves.

He also expressed concern about the increasing use of auto rickshaws, commonly known as “Pragya,” by underage riders, warning that it poses safety risks and calling for stricter enforcement of road regulations.

Beyond vocational training, the Nana Pim-Wusu Ansah Foundation has supported students in pursuing higher education and expanded training into areas such as tiling and electrical works to reduce unemployment and social challenges.

The programme, which has also helped beneficiaries access university education, reflects a broader effort to combine technical and academic empowerment in Wiamoase.

Community leaders, including traditional authorities and visiting dignitaries, attended the ceremony, where a wheelchair was also donated to a community member as part of the foundation’s social support efforts.

The initiative is expected to continue expanding as part of a long-term vision to make Wiamoase a model for sustainable community development.
