The Minority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has assured cocoa farmers that they will not be denied access to government fertilizer amid claims of political intimidation.
His comments follow concerns raised by farmers in Bepoah, Sekyere East, who alleged that individuals believed to be affiliated with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) threatened to exclude them from government support if they attended meetings organized by the Minority caucus.
The issue arose during the Minority’s engagement with farmers as part of their tour of cocoa-growing communities in the Ashanti Region.
Addressing another gathering at Soko in the Kwabre North Constituency on Friday, March 20, 2026, Hon. Annoh-Dompreh emphasized that no government has the right to deny citizens access to benefits funded by public resources.

He stressed that fertilizer distribution, financed through taxpayers’ money, must not be used as a tool to suppress farmers’ freedom of association or expression.
According to him, any attempt to link government support to political allegiance undermines democratic principles and raises serious concerns about governance.

He therefore assured the farmers that the Minority will stand by them and continue to advocate for their rights and welfare.
The Minority maintains that all farmers, regardless of political affiliation, deserve equal access to government support and protection from any form of intimidation.
