A total of 320 individuals were intercepted at separate locations, with authorities confirming that 25 were perpetrators who allegedly lured unsuspecting victims under the pretense of legitimate employment, educational, and travel opportunities, falsely claiming to represent QNET.
The victims, brought from various parts of the country, were found at makeshift camps in Kenyasi (Kwabre East Municipality) and Buoho (Afigya South District), both in the Ashanti Region.

Staff Officer Dominic Mensah, Head of EOCO’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit, said shelters are being prepared for the victims while arrangements are underway to safely reintegrate them with their families.
Meanwhile, Theodocia Naana Bennieh Quartey, Head of Compliance at QNET, condemned the misuse of the company’s name in the scam and assured that QNET is strengthening collaboration with security agencies to prevent such fraudulent activities in the future.
