President Mahama Hosts German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at Jubilee House to Deepen Ghana–Germany Ties

President John Dramani Mahama on Monday, November 3, officially welcomed the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, His Excellency Frank-Walter Steinmeier, to the Jubilee House in Accra as part of a three-day state visit aimed at boosting Ghana–Germany relations.

The visit, spanning from Sunday, November 2 to Tuesday, November 4, 2025, is focused on strengthening cooperation in trade, investment, renewable energy, and technological innovation.

A colourful ceremony held at the Forecourt of the Jubilee House featured a military Guard of Honour inspection before both leaders retired for private discussions.

President Mahama and President Steinmeier will lead their respective delegations in bilateral talks targeting economic growth and industrial advancement. A State Luncheon will later be held in honour of the German President and his entourage.

During his stay, President Steinmeier will visit the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park to lay a wreath in honour of Ghana’s first President and engage with young Ghanaian IT professionals. He will also attend a reception at the German Ambassador’s residence.

The German leader will conclude his trip in Kumasi, where he will break ground for a project at the Kumasi Technical Institute, interact with students of KNUST, tour the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research, and pay a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace.
