Former Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, together with New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwarts including former Afigya Kwabre South Constituency Chairman, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, and Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, attended the one-week observation of the late Mrs Grace Opoku, wife of the late transport business icon, Poku Transport.

The solemn gathering brought together family members, political figures, business associates, and sympathizers to mourn with the bereaved family and celebrate the life of Mrs Opoku.

Dr Bawumia expressed his condolences to the family and prayed for strength and comfort for them during the difficult period. He also acknowledged the immense contributions of the late Poku Transport brand to Ghana’s transport sector over the years.

 Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah and Chairman Wontumi also shared words of encouragement with the family, describing the late Mrs Opoku as a supportive pillar behind the successful transport business.

The one-week observation was marked by prayers, tributes, and moments of reflection as mourners paid their last respects.

Several dignitaries from the political, transport, and business communities were present to honour the memory of the late Mrs Grace Opoku and stand in solidarity with her family.
